The 19th Annual Duck Fest Derby, presented by JM Family Enterprises, is one of South Florida’s premier charity events. On Saturday, April 5, 2025, children of all ages will enjoy a free, family- friendly, Island-themed Duck festival filled with “quacky” activities in the Fun Zone, including the KID Olympics, face painting, petting zoo, live entertainment, delicious food trucks, and more.
Then, 40,000 rubber ducks will be dropped in the New River to race for prizes, all in support of KID & FCI. Community members can buy entries into the race by forming “Duck Teams” or adopting individual ducks for $5. Each adoption is a chance to win one of our fabulous prizes, including the grand prize of $10,000 cash.

Buys a pack of onesies for a new born baby in our Healthy Families Program.

Purchases a full week of breakfast and lunches for the children at KID Preschool PLUS.

Buy a gas card to help a family with transportation costs.

Sponsors an elementary age child’s tuition for Winter Break Camp or Spring Break Camp.

Allows a family of 4 to purchase groceries so no one goes hungry.

Purchases a safe, age appropriate bed and mattress for a child who doesn’t have a place to sleep.
$1,000 Duck
Covers the cost of one month of West African Drumming Lessons for 20 students.

Provides the necessary funding for 6 months of weekly therapy for a child in a low income family without insurance.
